My food budget has been curtailed vastly so even with massive portions im constantly starving and utterly famished. The only solution is to dumpster dive.

The idea initially repulsed me but having worked in mcdonalds I know that restuarants throw out vast quantities of perfectly good food. Sure its not safe to be eating half consumed burgers but supermarkets are also guilty of the same thing. Ive heard of people finding bags ful of cider lobsters frozen goods all sealed and packaged.

Im in the UK at the moment and am wondering if anyone has any tips to make this less painful. I have OCD so as you can imagine this isnt something ive blithely gone into. Im obliged by what feels like starvation

hmmmmm apparently its illegal in the UK. I just cant say no however. I am hungry 24/76 even WHILE eating. Food is becoming a new addiction since im constantly craving it.Freegan living would give me a potential source of income (selling items on ebay at now personal cost) as well as actually feeding me adequately.

it is also illegal in my jurisdiction (US) and here the cops are really nasty to poor people and as a lesbian don't need the hassle of even more harassment and jail time. I will find another way of eating - I did while homeless I can again.

Capitalism's waste really bothers me, but I can't take what they want to do to me sorry.

amazing post :-) I have a student loan agency work and parents who help somewhat - I cant really justify using foodbanks.

you say you are hungry, that is justification. not being able to afford enough food is requirement enough, only reason I don't is no place sets out Vegan food here.

I think the food bank is a great idea. Perhaps you can ask if they have vegan food. Tell them you'd like vegetables.
