I am measuring the dimensions of my refrigerator because one of my friends wants one. According to the label on my American LG fridge it is 175cm (roughly 5'9) in height.

The only thing is though I noticed the bottom of my fridge has wheels on it lifting it a bit above the floor.

Just curious does the height of my fridge from top to bottom also include the wheels or not?

Funny thing as well is that I held up a tape measure from the bottom to the top my fridge and it actually read 5'8 (173cm) yet label on my fridge says its 175cm?????? :? I live in the UK so i don't know if they use a different height metric system for American fridges compared to UK fridges.

I've measured the height of my fridge and it's 59 inches off the ground, which means that it's 4 ft and 9 inches tall. I'm also living in Canada.

But why is my fridge measuring 173cm when the label says 175cm?

Why don't you contact the manufacturer and ask them?

I don't know how high my fridge is exactly. It's an under-counter one that fits underneath the work surface of my kitchen. I think it's just a standard size. Yours sounds much taller.

They are likely rounding up and the extra 2 cm and they may be including this as a margin of error to prevent interference with doors and shelving in your home when people mis-measure their home a little. The extra 2 cm may also be including the packing box it was shipped in. Are the length and width exact?

I measured my fridge, just over 5 feet 7 inches, I think maybe the 2 missing centimeters have to do with maybe missing rubber feet on the bottom of your fridge.

Come to think of it, kind of silly that we've all come together from various parts of the globe to talk about the height of our refrigerators. And that some people (like me) went out of their way to measure their refrigerator just to participate in this discussion.
