Vanna White (born February 18, 1957) is an American television personality and film actress best known as the hostess of Wheel of Fortune since 1982.

White was born Vanna Marie Rosich in Conway, South Carolina the daughter of Joan Marie and Miguel Angel Rosich. Her father was Puerto Rican. He abandoned the family and White took the name of her stepfather, Herbert Stackley White Jr., a former real estate agent in what is now North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

So, no ... she is neither a space-alien nor an illegal immigrant, but she is a Latina!

Because of the kids, I now think of the line in that one song every time I hear her name.

"Got invited to a party in NYC, can I make it, damn right, I'll be on the next flight, first class, sitting next to Vanna White"

I used to love that show though. I never ever did good at the Price is Right but I could get Wheel of Fortune usually after just a few letter turns. I'm OK at quite a few catagories of jeopardy too.
