Disclaimer: I know that you can't diagnose people without getting properly evaluated. I made this thread for speculation purposes only.

Jan Terri is an "outsider musician" who is well known for her catchy, but odd songs. She can't play any instruments or sing properly, but she has quite a dedicated following. A lot of her lyrics have a nonsensical and childlike quality to them. She seems to be quite naive and childlike herself. She doesn't seem to know that she is not a good singer. I know that she has fans, but I think most of her fans are just fans to be ironic. Kind of like Chris Chan fans.

I think this video demonstrates her social cluelessness better.

Its hard to tell in those videos other then she does appear to have good eye contact, at least to me anyway. What I am really wondering after watching the first one is if that guitar is actually plugged into something.

She doesn't actually play guitar. She just pretends to. Even if she is NT, she is very naive. She doesn't seem to know that her singing sucks and that people don't actually like her music.

I am glad I am not seeing things then, lately I have been trying hard to learn to connect notes heard with their correct spot on the fret board. I thought her singing was at least OK, perhaps that's what happens when you listen to too much grunge and random local bands. I don't get many chances to hear professionally trained or otherwise perfect vocalists.

I actually genuinely like Jan Terri's music! While her singing and playing are not the best, her songs are really clever to me- and I guess I don't know, something about it. I enjoy her 10x more than I ever would The Beetles.
