I have aspergers

My brother said to me once "you blame society for everything" and he continued "okay society has problems but so have you as well"

In more depth what does he mean by that?

One moment while I go get my crystal ball out of the cupboard ….

Not knowing your brother, and not being a mind reader, I can only guess.

He's saying he thinks you blame society for it's reaction to you. Which is fairly common for ASpies, we have a tendency to feel 'singled out and picked on'. Which is a bad thing society does. Look at the videos people have posted of actors pretending to be ASpies for laughs. It's like they're saying "oh aren't ASpies funny, look at them." Which is actually quite childish, when you get down to it.
If you have Aspergers, it's not a "problem", it's just that you're wired differently than most people. As people on these boards have pointed out, most famous artists have some trait or another of AS. Reference Syd Barrett, or Alan Turing.

Without knowing your bro, we really don't know what he means. I'd recommend him to go in depth and listen to him explain and finish explaining before asking questions.

I know my own brother is one who I've said a very similar statement to, or it comes up in convos with others, and that is he always blames everyone but himself for his own problems. It's never his fault he makes a choice to do stupid or incorrect things in life. His attitude flies in the face that he's the only link between all of his problems.

I myself blame society for a few things, but not many. And it's usually for things I encounter that have been allowed to become pervasive when it shouldn't be. And it's only my opinion anyway so it doesn't hold much water.

I think he blames society to much.

Maybe he is saying that you use your Aspergers as an excuse while you view Aspergers as an explanation. Well, okay, I think of Aspergers as an explanation. Not for why people treat me the way they do but for why I perceive people treating me a certain way.
