My mom said that my dads hair is 'different' from mine and that it is denser. She said that I have 'her' hair.

In more depth what does my mom mean by 'denser'?

Either each individual hair is thicker or his hairs grow closer together.

Jamesy, do you really not have access to a dictionary out there - either online or paper? :chin:

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/different
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/different
http://www.yourdictionary.com/different

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/denser
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/denser
http://www.yourdictionary.com/denser

It's difficult to believe you need to post most of these types of question, and if you understand the concept of "having your mother's hair" without wondering if she's suddenly gone bald as her hair moved from her head over to yours - why can't you simply use a dictionary to find the definition of basic, individual words?
