I just found out on my 29th b-day (19 April) that my wife is pregnant with our first child. This is certainly going to be interesting since she is only four weeks along, and her hormones are going nuts. She is starting to do the smell everything, and all of that. Wow…can't believe it!

 Congrats!! !

The smell sensitivity, hating foods she previously loved, sleeping all the time, occasional nightmares. Heh, fun times.
I've always been pretty stoic, but, during my first pregnancy, my emotions were ALL over the place. Crying all the time, even worse at socialising than usual. Good times, good times.
Aside from all that stuff, I really enjoyed being pregnant and I'm sure your wife will, too.

Just a tip, be sure to buy HER presents because no one else will. I was a little disappointed that, when I was pregnant, all of the presents family and friends gave me for my birthday and christmas were baby stuff. I know in retrospect that sounds selfish or silly, but, my hormones turned that into a hurtful slight. ;)

Anyway, this is a great new adventure and your kid will just accept you as you are, which is a wonderful feeling.

Congrats, my man.

I don't have any children of my own (at least to which I'm not privy), but I do have a nephew pushing two years old, and he likes me for who I am (thankfully).

Congratulations! :D

If you have your doubts about how you'll be as a father, you shouldn't, because you'll be an awesome father!
