Space's size is defined by the distance from the center of mass to the outmost atom.

Your dog isn't barking at nothing, you are simply unable to detect the stimulus your dog is responding to.

Primitive human beings.

space is just 3d-ness. it is the absence of stuff. so the size of space = infinity - the volume of everything = infinity.

why does my dog bark at nothing?
dogs can hear higher frequencies and lower amplitudes then humans, so hes barking at things u can't hear.

who created words and their associated meanings?
words developed over time from grunts. they where developed to kind of communicate simple ideas, and expanded from that as time went on and the languages developed.

why are melons so darn awesome?
they are not.

wanted:
trip around the world.
start saving.

If we can see through the molecules in glass, why not wood?

How many planets have a red shift, and how many have a blue shift?

what determines when air stops wicking heat off of something and starts producing friction with it and heating it <in other words how fast is air moving when this happens, is drag coefficient involved? all that thermodynamics jazz>

why does oprah have clout?

what is the sound highest sound resolution vinyl can handle?

what kind of engine does the 1985 international harvester s 1800, model 1853 school bus have?

Why does the groundhog predict more bad weather, when the weather at that moment is good?

Why aren't people curious in anything around them, other than mindless entertainment?

Why is it so trendy to attach the term "common sense" to the stupidest political (and other) concepts?

Why does seemingly everybody end their sentances with "so, but, yeah", or some variation?

Why has the History Channel spent President's Day exploring Star Trek, UFOs and airing Planet of the Apes? Why did Spike TV spend President's Day airing The Three Stooges?

Can basic air moving hover technology be incorporated in a warehouse environment for use in pallet jacks and forklifts?

Can strong electromagnets be installed at the front and rear of automobiles to decrease the incidence, likelihood and severity of auto collisions?

I wonder if everyone at WrongPlanet will get used to and accept the new me, and I don't take on the external form of a hippie. I've made a change that's realistic for me, because I didn't have to give up on London and related stuff.

I wonder if I will stick to my budget, this and every cheque that I get.

I wonder if Jesus still loves me.

Will I still go to Heaven?

I'd like to move to Victoria, BC.

It depends on how much effort you put into it.

Jesus still loves you, he loves everyone.

If you have been a good person, yes.

Not sure if that's the answer you really had in mind, or whether you were really asking WHY aerodynamic friction stops wicking and starts producing heat.
Related: The speed at which you start seeing thermal heating is the dividing line between supersonic and hypersonic.
