Abbott and Costello was a famous comedy team who starred in numerous movies. Their comedy tended to be reflective of the society in which they lived--with lots of people making little money, and trying to gain an edge by taking advantage of other people. Their most famous routine was probably "Who's on First."

They also had a show where they lived in a rooming house with a Murphy bed. Sometimes, there was a stove, sometimes not. The room wasn't even Ralph Kramden's apartment; they didn't even have an icebox. Also, like Ralph, they had no phone and no TV.

I don't "remember" per se, I'm too young. But I've seen some of their stuff, and I like it. My favorite is a movie called Abbott and Costello Hit the Ice.

Laurel and Hardy were more dignified, perhaps more naïve, less cynical. Their slapstick was more broad than that of Abbott and Costello.

Laurel was British. Hardy was American. Their films were produced in America.

Isn't a biopic about Abbott & Costello in the works?
