Is it possible to ask 'too' many questions?

I wonder if its possible to ask too many questions.

If you're conversing with someone and you ask questions a lot, is that something to be concerned about?

I've read that if you ask people about themselves, it makes them feel important and interesting, and that its good manners.

So where's the limit? Is there a limit?

The number of questions I ask is just above the limit.

Depends on the questions and person. I don't like being asked really dumb annoying questions, but I'm fine if it's part of a conversation, and actually means something.

Never mind how many questions is too many... How's about, how do you know when someone is truly conversing with you or not?

I've tried active listening but how do you know if it's successfull?

I end up letting the person do most of the talking and I just ask a few light questions along the way.

yes. to many questions is annoying, it comes to a point when the answer is so obvious that no more questions are needed.
