waking up from life like it was a dream

Have you ever had dreams where you suddenly found out that you were dreaming in the dream and you suddenly had full conscious control of the dream doing what ever you want? Basically having a lucid dream?


Also have you ever applied this to waking life, like wondered at times that you were actually dreaming when you were awake and try to wake your self up? Did you have an interesting experience in trying to do that? What was your experience?

I've had a few semi-lucid dreams, generally reveries where my most cherished wishes were granted.

I had a dream last week. I was in a diferent country. Had a job that payed accordingly to what I deliver. My SO was his old charming, balanced self. My family was supportive and cared.

Then I woke up and had to remind myself I should get on the train, not under it.

I've had that kind of lucid dreaming type thing on occasion but it was usually rite before I woke up or trying to go back to sleep after waking up & I wake up very shortly after it starts. I've had times where I felt like I was mostly asleep when I was up & I felt like I was dreaming but I knew I wasn't.
