Foot comfort is really important to me. If my feet are uncomfortable I am not a happy aspie. I love the feeling of putting on new socks. But that feeling does not last long, and once the socks are washed they no longer feel the same, until.....

I discovered SmartWool socks. They are the bomb! Sure, they are 15 bux a pair but I will wear nothing else for the rest of my life! Get the medium-padded hikers and your feet will thank you. EVERY time you put them on they feel like new socks and the feeling lasts all day. They are wool, so the sweat wicks away from your feet.

I am not kidding, I LOVE my socks!

Nice one Dr_Strangelove, I have a thing about foot comfort too. I hate wearing shoes. I take them off as soon as I get through the door, and have either bare feet or socks.

I hate wearing socks! They make my feet feel completely trapped. I try to go barefoot around the house as much as I can and I don't like wearing socks under shoes or boots either. And one of the reasons I love summer is so I can wear sandals- no socks required! I'll only wear socks if it's freezing here at my house. That, or my mom forces me (she's way too overprotective when it comes to cold weather).

I'm the complete opposite. I can't stand the feeling of bare feet. So I wear socks at all times I'm not in bed or anywhere where there's water. If I don't have a pair of clean socks when I get out of bed, I resort to digging a somewhat clean one out of the hamper, since I'll be too uncomfortable otherwise. I can tolerate not wearing socks for short periods of time for purely functional purposes, such as walking from the hotel room to the swimming pool in bathroom slipppers, but the tolerance stops there. I simply cannot handle not wearing socks in daily life, and it baffles me how people can stand wearing sandals. Speaking of which, I saw some threads about Jesus being an aspie; I'm guessing he didn't have an issue with bare feet. After all, I'm sure socks were available in Israel during Jesus's lifetime.
