Opening soon. All the kitties came from an animal shelter called GAWS and will live on the 3rd floor of the building. :)

Interesting idea. What happens to the cats when they get old, and are no longer aesthetically pleasing enough to have in the cafe?

Some people enjoy sweet, lazy old cats.....they will be very popular.

And as for grouchy old cats, there is on of those who is VERY popular on the Internet.

A cat cafe is a GREAT idea. What is better than lounging around with a nice cup of coffee, in a cozy chair and a cute cat on your lap. It is a good place for shelter kitties too. I would love it if one of these opens where I live, but I live in Toronto, it would probably be hard to open a cat cafe there, as it is a city, and it is difficult to rent a space where animals are allowed.

Sylkat, I agree with you, there are lots of people who enjoy sweet, lazy older cats, unlike my cats, who are overly needy and get really hyper and run around my house, and knock over things. They will probably grow out of this, as they are still quite young (2 and 3 years old).

heard about these several years ago, they have some down south in england.

theres split sides as to whether theyre good for the cats or not, read a article about it in the cats protection magazine 'the cat' once.

woud love to go to a cafe and just chill out with loads of cats,no music but perhaps sounds that cats like, catnip and felliway spray everywhere-biscuit and boomer woud sign themselves up for that.
