I am one of those people who likes to come up with one line phrases, but sometimes I really miss the mark so I would like some feedback before I start saying it:

Does this make sense: "Its not a decision if you weren't thinking" taking the meaning of decision literally of course.

There are various levels of thinking (including the "subconscious" ones) , are there not?

There are also subconscious types of "decisions".

You can tie yourself up in knots with this one, maybe you already have!

Some of the best one line phrases come spontaneously, off the top of the head, so to speak.

I've heard a lot of worse one-liners than yours. It certainly had me thinking.

What it does lack is an obviously humorous element, IMHO. That may or may not be relevant. It's also a subjective comment.

Well i lost if becuase its not understandable immediately. But subconscious is not thinking just as much it's precisely that: sub, below a step below consciousness just as much being unconscious. Is Un and a lack of it.

Ever hear someone ask a person who did something stupid ask: what where you thinking, and the obvious reply is : sorry I wasn't thinking"

The point of the quote was meant to be something of an insult to people who "do" stupid things without a lot good a reason

This is all a defense and digression.but the fact I even had to explain my thinking is proof enough it's a bad quote

Decisions tend to be made before we consciously think about them. EEG can pick up the moment a (simple) decision is made, and it is milliseconds before the person is aware of it.
