On my wait to pick up some Ant Bait from Home Depot I made a stop to get my prescription. After I picked up my prescription I bought a coffee drink in CVS. Lo and Behold guess what I got the honor and privilege of seeing up front. I got to see three guys with their jeans sagging to their knees and their ass crack. I don't believe I will ever erase that image from my mind and I do not believe I will be able to eat dinner tonight.

I always toot the horn of being myself but c'mon now. Have some dignity and self respect. Pull up your Damn Pants. For Goodness Sake!

I think the young lady cashier who rang up my order was disgusted by it as I was.

To the ladies here. Is this attractive to you?

When I was in 9th and 10th grade a lot of kids did it, the schools were in bad neighborhoods. I heard it originated from prisons (not surprising considering the neighborhood was next to Pine Hills or in Kissimmee). I wish the schools there did more to address such inappropriate wearing of clothing. As a male I find it absolutely disgusting and one of the reasons why I ate lunch away from other students.

It's just a fashion (you'll notice they have nice looking patterned boxers with this look, no stretched-out tighty whiteys.) Unless I can actually see butt hair, I don't find it disgusting--mostly just comical. :)

IIRC, it is a prison thing, and comes from the fact that prisoners are not allowed to have belts. I've never been a fan, for practicality reasons if no other, but I've also never quite understood the amount of rage the look generates in some people, it's just a fashion choice like any other.

A twice-convicted felon who was an acquaintance explained that the 'residents' have been wearing sweats or medical scrubs since the 1990s; hence no belt or lack thereof. The sagging pants actually emerged as prison code for 'availability' for certain 'favors' - if the propagators of this 'fashion trend' only knew...

I'm not a very big fan of that fashion statement. Now that I know what it means, I despise it even more.

For me, it felt like I was being mooned.

Exactly. Why do these guys think anyone wants to see this? I don't get it.

I've had two former prison guards from two different states tell me that so that's what I go with as truth.

I hate people telling me how to dress so I think it would be very hypocritical of me to have a problem with people keeping their pants low. It doesn't offend me because I just avoid looking at it. Besides lots of guys like it when hot women keep their pants low to show off their butterfly tattoo so it's wrong that guys complain about other guys keeping em low.
At least the guys weren't having em low to ass dance
