I call mine mommy and daddy because I have for a long time. XD I think it's because I'm just used to it. Sometimes on occasion, I call my dad pop or papa, but I mostly call him daddy.

So what about you? :O

I have always called my father "dad", and my step parents I always called them by their first names. As for my mom, I might call her various things. I I will call her mom in a more formal setting and occasionally to get her attention, but usually I call her "mama" or "merm" (my little brother came up with that one a while ago, for some reason it stuck  ).

Mom and Dad. Although when I speak to them I just say "You", "She", "He" which some people consider weird because in my language there it a rule you are supposed to call people their titles when speaking to or about them to show respect. For example you don't say "Can you close the window?", you say "Can Mom close the window?" instead. Apparently I don't "respect" my parents enough. I use the rule to teachers and old people, but my parents are too familiar for me to use the respect rule smoothly.

My Korean mom is 'umma'. I'm technically supposed to be calling her 'umuni' since I'm an adult, but that sounds too formal and distant for my own parent. She doesn't mind.

My dad is just 'dad'.

I call my mother by her name. Because it's her name and I got sick of saying ma.

Where I'm from Ma is a shorter version of what you call your grandma which is MaMa & PaPa is what you call your grandpa or Pa for short.
