Does anyone know if a plant called planta genistra(something like that), and known as 'broom' is toxic to dogs and cats? I want to get one, but as I have a cat and two dogs, I want to make sure.

My daughter tells me it's an invasive plant and the town where lives in has a, well attended, annual community event to remove it.

Please reconsider.

Thanks. I was thinking putting it in a flower pot, but perhaps that's not quite a good idea.
