I've been known to avoid apples even because some of the varieties out there are uncomfortably tart or sour.

I bought some kiwi lemonade hoping it would be more sweet like some brands are, but I suppose it serves me right to be making this face...

I'm exactly the opposite. I need my fruits to be extra sour.

Any way I know someone who is very sensitive to acidic fruits. He reckons it's a hereditary trait. His mother is also very sensitive. It's not just that they don't like the sour taste. They both actually get burns from sour fruits.

I am exact opposite too.

I love sour food. I add citric acid or vinegar to almost everything I eat. I mix it with sour cream and make a dip for my sandwiches, salads, chips, dumplings, tortillas, French fries, pizza...
I can't eat apples/fruits unless they are sour enough. When my family makes ice cream of strawberries they have to do separate portion for me because I deny eating it if it contains sugar. Sugar kills the sour taste and makes it tasteless for me.
