When a Chinese goes outside with a protective face mask, no one cares or ask why. When a dark skinned goes in the street covering his face with a kerchief that is printed in a Paisley pattern, everyone asks what's wrong with the person, if he is a thief and if he has problems with his face.

Just something interesting that I have noticed that can be worth of a discussion, give your thoughts on this.

I so agree with you, I think everyone in the world is racist and soon it will be the end of us all. Most people just don't want to admit it and have learned to somewhat suppress their primitive instincts to believe anyone else who looks different is an intruder, a threat. there are black people who hate Asian people, there are Asian people who hate Hispanic people, and of course white people are monsters and hate everyone else. :(

Sometimes I see a litter of kittens who are of various colors, and they play and snuggle with each other without caring about the difference. I guess we can't because we're not as smart as a bunch of kittens.

That ain't racism, that's pattern recognition.

Goes back to the outlaw days in frontier nations.

Is it racism if I wear a Swastika tattoo on my forehead? Hell, no one would know what it meant to me personally, but they'd still assume.

People are racist, no matter which country you're in. I imagine that there are also people who are racist against Caucasians.

Racism is illogical. We're all the same race: The human race.

are you talking about these kinds of masks?

if that chinese is in china, then it's pretty obvious why he/she would wear that - the air quality is abysmal in the cities.

i've noticed that paisley face masks have some negative stigma too, but i've never seen people of color get more than those who aren't, likely just the mask itself. also good against bad air.

i am hispanic/latino and i have never gotten discriminated against in any way because of it. but then again i have surprised a few people when i've told them i'm hispanic/latino, i "don't look like one", which makes no sense because hispanic isn't a race. and there is a huge diversity of physical and mental attributes within that community that identifies as such.

Yes, that's the kind of masks. But I even see them wear them in other countries (with good air), it has become a popular stereotype of what a Chinese is; yellow skin, almond shaped eyes, the greatest to martial arts, great intelligence, traditional clothing in a traditional Chinese house, and always wearing protective face masks.

Perhaps, I do see more people against the abnormal skin colored as they wear them the most, but there are also white people who gets looked down at.

Racism hurted me so much. I'm caucasian but not european/white. People are racist everywhere no matter what race you're you will face racism because everyone prefers people or to be with people the same race as themself, well thats how I see it because they tend to have more family histories and cultural beliefs in common

Racism has gone so far that technically those who are too oversensitive about it are actually being racist themselves.

Imagine you went on a picnic with a black person, and you're in charge of all the food and drinks and stuff. If you took a watermelon and gave it to the back person, you would be racist. If you took a watermelon because you love watermelons but you DIDN'T give it to the black person due to fear of being racist, you would still be racist. If you didn't bring a watermelon at all to avoid all of this, then you would still be racist. If nobody was sensitive about this sort of thing, then you can just take a watermelon on a picnic with your black friend and enjoy yourself and that would be that.

The world has got too sensitive about all this racist stuff. I can't believe that it is even affecting some children's shows. Apparently Peppa Pig has something to do with racism. Soon they're just going to cut all shows off the air because everything will be racist in some sort of way, and then nobody would have any TV to watch. And then that would end up being racist in some sort of way.

Ohh, I hate to complain about being a 90's kid but I do wish I was born in the early 1900's or something.

I think many people are racist, sexist, homophobic and so on. And they are hypocrites. They claim not to be discriminatory in any way but if you see their actions you can see they actually are. People love saying things that make them look righteous and respectable because they want to be respected. But many of them don't really mean what they say.

I'd hate to have been born around that time. There were wars, diseases, poverty and so on that made many people's lives pretty miserable even in the countries that are prosperous and peaceful now. No mobile phones, no computers, no easy access to exotic fruits etc. I'm very happy to be living in the 21st century.
