today I dont work, dont feel good and stay home. I feel a bit annoyed because my neighbors upstairs drag and drop things on the floor, and the noise bothers my sensitive ears. I'm just a bit bored, but not much because I have the internet, thank God. and my cat is napping on a pile of clothes in the bathroom that I'm too lazy to pick up.

I'll be on the net all day, and maybe go out for a walk in a little while.

I'm having a rather good day, all things considered. maybe because I dont work today.

I've found the best way to drown out the sound of noisy neighbors is to get a big 20" box fan, put it in the corner under a table with a blanket draped across it, that will keep the drafts down and "tune" the noise to a frequency range that is most effective at distracting the ear from sounds conducted through walls and flooring/ceiling. just a suggestion.
anyways, my routine of the last few months is dealing with a back that is ailing, so I basically am a shut-in at this point, gimping around with a cane much of the time. that is why I entered "so-so" on the poll options list.

I voted for so-so. I woke up with the center of my lower back hurting auntblabby probably from the way I slept. I have an appointment with my doc in a couple days to discuss my back & my skin eczema that I had bad as a child & flared up recently form some weird reason. I woke up early because me & my girlfriend went visit her sister before we went grocery shopping. It was cold & windy outside & my girlfriend's alittle sick & we're both worn out from the outing. My back's still hurting alittle but not too bad at the moment. I'll take an Aleve & a Klonopin before bed so I'll sleep alittle better & hopefully it'll be fine tomorrow.

the lumbar pain from lying down is a sign of either lumbar stenosis or a popped disc probably at the top of the lumbar region [l/1-3]. traction works well to ameliorate this.

I've been told like 5 years ago that I had a bulging disk but at the time the guy said it wasn't causing me any problems but something I may need to get checked out latter. My back pain has been a gradual thing that's more noticed when sitting certain ways & my girlfriend noticed I have a bump on top my back near my neck area so I think it's time to see a doc but I'm not sure how much I can get done before Christmas because Me & my girlfriend are taking a trip to visit my family in middle of December & we have plans most of the days before but I might could squeeze in one more appointment with our GP but I don't know about going to hospital to get xRays or MRI till after the new year.

it is best to not wait until it becomes acute/emergent. when it does that, everything else STOPS real quick-like.

Worked a 12 hour shift and had to deal with a nasty co-worker. He's nasty in two ways: he literally never takes a bath or shower so you can smell him from about 30 feet away, and he is such a horrible person to others. Normally I don't really bother dealing with him, but today he took a 25 minute break when he was supposed to take a 10 minute break, and we all relieve each other for breaks and I was next after him. I told my supervisor and the lady that trained me what he was doing... I could hear his as* being chewed out from the next machine over (and they're pretty noisy too).

I'm just glad I don't have to go back tomorrow. I also got to drive the car today because no one was using it for once, so I went ahead and got Taco Bell after work.

So not the worst day I've had, but it hasn't been a very good one. I'm exhausted, sick, sore, and just about done with everything. I voted for horrible.

it's a good things you're having it checked. i almost never have back problems, only daily stomach aches. back aches are often the result of sitting and walking the wrong way.

Today is the first day I've spent without my best friend. We'd hang out every day for the past month. Unfortunately, I developed deep feelings for her and now it's difficult being around her because she is married.
