I thought it might be fun to try and name different fictional characters from various media (literature, stage, tv, movies, video games, comics, anime, etc). Post the character that is either confirmed or speculated to be on the spectrum along with the name of the source material. Remember that it's fictional only (Jerry Seinfeld doesn't count).

Also, to allow others to join, let's post one character at a time.

I'll go first!

Straining my brain here.....
20 minutes passed and then suddenly an explosion of ideas

Mordin Solus from Mass Effect. Although I guess you could say that the entire salarian race is Aspergeriod to an extent. Also its an alien/alien race so not sure if it counts. Don't want to be this

I used to speculate that Truman in The Truman Show, Neo in The Matrix, Winston in 1984 and Bernard in Brave New World might be cases of what's called Asperger's or something similar. However, having spent some time on this forum has made me doubt those speculations. Another speculation I have had is that aspies are Truman before that piece of equipment falls down from "the sky", i.e. the ceiling; Neo before he has that message on the computer screen saying "the matrix has you". I really don't know. This relates to things I have been discussing on this forum, such as the thread I posted recently entitled Aspies, Politically Incorrect, Huh?

Sigmund Ausfaller, from Larry Niven's "Known Space" stories, especially Juggler of Worlds. Sigmund was a forensic financial analyst whose brilliance and meticulous attention to detail - as well as his boundless, paranoid suspicions - led to his being recruited into the ARM, a UN police force that likes to recruit paranoid individuals, both because they tend to be superior investigators (non-paranoid ARM investigators are at times given drugs to induce functional-paranoid-psychosis while on duty) and to keep an eye on them, keep them out of trouble.

Sigmund is portrayed as a brilliant paranoid schizophrenic, but this is in part due to paranoid schizophrenia having a somewhat different meaning within that fictional universe than in a real-world clinical context. I think an argument can be made that Sigmund's "paranoia" is better described as "hypervigilance" and that he's in fact an autistic suffering from Complex PTSD.
