Not really stims, but they do weird things for no reason at all. Then they say our stims are weird

One common example is them waving their hands in the air when they're at a concert: They do it to channel their excitement, thats the only reason I can find except for copying the horde.

I lean toward the copying the crowd theory on that one. They are definitely pack animals.

Neurotypicals do a lot of the same things autistic people do. They're just not used to it being called to their attention or suggested that maybe it's weird that they're doing it.

Has anyone else noticed people doodling when they're in a meeting? You're like, expected to take notes in meetings but often there's nothing notable so people will draw nonsense on their papers. I used to pretend to write notes but I'd really be writing down terrible things in my notepad, such as: HR has another stupid idea. New position available, no work for this position, note to self: manufacture work for new person. I like so-and-so's shirt. I wonder what's happening on my daytime soap operas today? And so on. A doodle made it clear you had nothing to do, but writing nonsense made it appear as though you were engaged.

I look at the NTs around me and frequently ask myself " How would they score on an Aspergers test." I think a lot of NTs have ND tendencies.

I never liked doodling, I always found it boring. I could never understand kids writing on desks and in their textbooks, to me it was destroying property.
