If I was in a warm climate I'd consider it.

The images of bridal shorts reminded me of this dress, but it probably costs a bit more at £16,000



Shorts? Why not, its the brides choice imo.

Trashy, tacky, and ridiculous are what I think of them. But, every bride has her own choice about what is and isn't pretty and that she wants for her wedding. I had a traditional wedding and wore a Victorian ivory dress with a long train, ivory because I had been married before. I was 22 and my colors were pastels, which was fitting. I went for the pretty and innocent look which was fitting for my age. If I were to marry again, or even have the inclination and money to renew my vows I would want a gothic wedding with a black dress with red trim, but I'd want a full skirt and a ball gown, not something figure hugging or too revealing though. I'd choose dark green and gold as my colors and we would wear hats instead of tiaras. I would have an evening ceremony and have a nuptual mass and have the church lit by candles. That is very different than the afternoon wedding I had almost 28 years ago.

I've looked through lots of wedding magazines, been to wedding stores, seen wedding shows, etc and one thing I haven't changed my taste about is that I don't much like modern dresses. I don't care for as much bows and that kind of trim anymore but I do still like something that isn't too plain. My older daughter likes simple modern plain dresses and that will be beautiful on her, but my younger daughter lives the ornate, dark things like I do even at her age. With her coloring I could so see her pulling off a black wedding dress and pulling it off great, totally rocking it.

This makes me think about the fact that I don't remember ever seeing any bridal pants suits. I wonder if they make those and why I haven't seen them. I think it would be very pretty to have some tapered pants with a long jacket that is cut like a cutaway but with a very full back instead of tails and comes out behind like the back half of a dress.

I found a pant suit that is quite nice.



The shorts are revealing and one would want to have nice legs I think to pull it off.

I think the trending casualness of wedding attire is perhaps a reflection of the more casual attitude to marriage.
