Does anyone here know anything about motorcycle batteries? My husband left one charging in my kitchen and it is making this awful, high pitched sound (just a me thing picking up on the noise... I do not think there is an actual problem with it) and I am reaching the point of being completely intolerant of it. My question, would I do the battery damage if I just unplugged it? Also curious if I would undo the whole charging process and put the battery back to a zero charge. I do not want to mess it up.

First thing comes to mind is that a motor cycle battery shouldn't make a noise. Maybe the charger might.
Other than than you can disconnect it and it should do no damage. Maybe move it into a different room after so you can't hear it anymore?

Yeah, they should not. It is just me hearing it. I hear a lot of high pitched sounds no one else does. Annoying thing, that. I cannot tell if it is the charger or the battery making that sound. It is one big electric squee to me.

Thank you for your input. I did not want to mess it up, but yeessshhhh the noise is so gaaahhhh. I think I will move it outside. It is a nice enough day, no rain and all that.

Thank you again.
