My favorite teas are Earl Grey, English Breakfast Tea, and Jasmin tea. Does anyone else here like tea a lot more than coffee? What are your favorite kinds of tea?

I love tea. There are really only 2 true kinds of tea though. Green (which is tea that has had less exposure to air) and black (tea that has had lots of exposure to the air). They are the exact same plant though.

For flavors I like Earl Grey (which is flavored black tea leaves) , Chai (really good with milk or cream in it).

I don't really know what I prefer, tea or coffee? I guess it depends. But usually I prefer a nice cup of tea. The only thing though is when I brew my tea I don't use teabags because they usually contain low quality tea-leaves. I like to get thick loose tea-leaves since they don't go stale as quickly. You really notice a big difference in taste when you drink a high quality loose tea then go back to teabags.

BTW, I like to drink my tea with honey in it.

My brother prefers tea over coffee. He doesn't drink either often but when he has the choice, he goes for flavored teas.

Herbal teas and Green tea are my favorites.

I tried getting into black tea, didn't get very far.

I love iced tea. I'd like to try loose leaf tea, but I'm too lazy...it's always so much faster to just throw some mix in a glass.

Not too huge on all the fancy flavors and stuff...I usually just go with sweetened black tea, but with lemon added is fine too. I recently tried an Arizona to see what all the fuss is about, and that stuff is great.

I like the red and blue Brisks, too, even though they don't really taste like tea.

I haven't had real green tea, but if the Green Brisk and that Lipton citrus green tea are anything to go by, I don't really care for it. Just kinda tastes like the tea isn't ripe yet.

I like coffee (black with sugar), but I don't drink it as often anymore, trying to cut down on caffeine. And I can't drink it hot. I usually put ice cubes in it.

I think coffee tastes awful. I started drinking peppermint tea in grade school, and then switched to black tea. These days, I always drink Twinings Lady Grey tea for breakfast and Ceylon Breakfast tea in the afternoon.

Not quite true pat666rick, there is oolong (semi oxidized and bruised) and white (nonwilted and unoxidized) teas as well.

In case my avatar doesn't give it away, I love tea. I can get by with drinking tea from tea bags, but loose leaf teas can be like the difference between fast food and a gormet dinner.

My favorite type is oolong tea (basically in between black and green).
I also like green, white, and black. In that descending order of preference.

One of my favorites is oolong #9 from adiago teas.
Kukicha baton (literally green tea with sticks) is another good any time tea from them.
My friend makes a mean home blend chai tea.

I'm a dedicated tea drinker. I drink Bigelow tea only. My favorites are plantation mint, spiced chai, lemon lift, and earl grey. I still drink coffee, but not that much. Tea rules. 8)

I grew up drinking tea, from a young age my father had me making his coffee and I always hated the smell of it.

I like herbal calming teas ^^'
I drink Earl Grey only because that's what my grandparents drink and what gets made in the big pot but when I can get out my little glass pot (makes 6 cups) I make my loose leaf herbals.

I like my tea with honey, flavoured coffee creamer, or splenda depending on the type

I love tea. I love tea more than anything else in the world, as far as drinks are concerned. My favourites are Tetley, Red Rose, English Breakfast and Orange Pekoe.

I agree. To me it is bitter -even with cream and sugar. Bleh. I maybe have a half of cup of coffee a year not because I want it so much as it is the only thing available to drink when I want something hot to drink.

I drink tea nearly everyday. Yea for tea! :D

I have a serious tea addiction.
(Unfortunately, I do not have a very large collection, though.)

Favorites are black, earl grey, and green with lemon grass and verbena.

I am picky about my earl grey. Wissotsky is good, Twinnings bad.

So whats the best way to prepare tea? - I mostly pour boiled water over it, but have been exrimenting recently with brewing it over a flame. (works well for some cheerfuly spiced Indian tea I picked up recently, don't know exactly what it is)

I've just brought a cup of tea to my computer. What a coincidence! :P
