This man was arrested for running back into his burning house to save his dog's life. I don't care, I'd save my dog too even if it means I'd get arrested.

Good for him, for saving the dog....sucks he got arrested, but it seems that guy would rather have saved the dog and been arrested, rather than not getting arrested and letting the dog die. I know I couldn't just stand by in a situation like that.

The guy should be given a medal, not arrested. Running into a burning house to save someone is one of the most selfless things a person can do.

Apparently not if that someone is a dog.

This is so ridiculous. Your pet can also be your family member, too. I know I would. Even if the house was burning to the ground, it's still my property and it's my right to do whatever it takes to risk my life to do something noble there. That man had that right to save his pet from the brink of death.

I would save a cat or dog from a burning house myself, yet wait for emergency services to save a human being. :(

He was arrested for "putting himself and firefighters in danger?" Are lawmakers unaware that firefighting is dangerous?

He risk himself for a dog putting the firefighters at a risk since they have to go after the fool.

The reasons for people getting arrested now are increasing in ridiculousness. What's next? Someone gets arrested for stopping a fire?

It's probably some BS that has to do with work safety laws, and what the definition of "expected dangers". Now, I'm pretty sure it's unexpected that someone would run into a burning house to save their pet, but even then, it's no reason for them to throw a hissy fit. I mean, this guy is a f*****g hero. I guess the law just doesn't seem to care for the lives of animals.

If you are wondering, the charge he was arrested on was "Interfering With Emergency Operations" and that's because he crossed the police line when they ordered him not to. He wasn't arrested specifically for running into a burning building or saving a dog. However it's only a misdemeanor and he wasn't put in jail or anything like that.

Thank goodness it's only a misdemeanor and not a criminal charge.

But they didn't have to go after him....And it was his dog, maybe you aren't aware of how people connect to their beloved pet dogs and cats. Was he supposed to just stand there and watch the poor thing suffocate from smoke or burn to death once the fire got into that apartment unit? Hopefully charges don't stick...

I can imagine the scenario right now. A man trying to put out a fire in his house, when all of the sudden he is arrested by the police. The man asked why, and the officer just scolds him with how dare you put out an fire, can't you see this fire is trying to support his fire wife and kids?

I would have done the same thing. Who could just stand by and see their dog behind the glass as the fire gets closer?

I hope the case gets dismissed by a judge who sees that the man was acting from the heart and no harm was done.
