Heard/read of any really bad names for pets?

Like "Nipper" for a Pitbull or "Cuddles" for a boa constrictor.

I heard of a cat called "Bouterse" (Dési Bouterse is an infamous leader of a military regime in Suriname and is also connected with drug trafficking).

I have a cat named Mustache... Except his "mustache" is technically a beard since it's on his chin.

I did have a pet lobster named "Shelly" a long time ago. But it always got nervous when I melted butter for popcorn. I wonder why that is?

But I would like to have a pet (probably a small dog like a Pug).

When I get one. I'll post a special thread asking everyone to help think of a name for it.

I had a cat named Charity who would eat all her food, then eat all my father's cat's food. SThere wre many times when she also never shut up bitching in her high, squeaky little voice.

I miss my little Char-Char. :(

Wichita Falls is a corny name for a pet. But, in honor of the town just across the river/state line, Lawton would be a good name.

My current dog's name is Josie. My previous dog was named Jojo.

It's not that lame.

My sister had a dachshund and named it "Low Rider"

Your father eats cat food!?!

My family has had endless generations of calico cats for more than 20 years, and they've all been female. Every single one. Weird. We usually name them after foods: Crackers, Cookie, Biscuit... well, except our last one, Socks. She had three kittens two months ago and I am adamant, dammit, about naming them Hannibal, Face and Murdoch. The A-Team!

Nah, the food that belongs to her father's cat. Haha.

I once caught my father snacking on dog treats, though.

Most of our pet names aren't too weird.

My uncle has a cockatoo named Wilbur, which would be fine, but Wilbur is actually a girl bird. We have a cat named Mouse; my aunt has cats named Skunk and Squirrel. (Although in her defense, Skunk did have skunk markings, and Squirrel does think he's a squirrel, right down to running leaps up anything vertical and then climbing up the rest of the way.) She also has a cat named Scarface (not because the cat has a scar, but because she cut my aunt badly when she was being rescued). (Actually, my aunt has over 16 cats at the moment. I don't remember all their names. Squeaker, Squirrel, Skunk, Tanika, Tom, Whitie, Blackie, Baby, Scarface... I don't remember the rest.) Our first dog (Duncan) was named after the street we lived on (Duncan Creek), but that's not a "bad" name, just an unusual inspiration, I guess.

Edit: Right, I forgot: my grandparents had a cat named Pickles and a dog named Gopher. Their dog now is named Whooper (after the burger) and their cat's named Esmeralda (but that was chosen by my immediate family, who had her first).
