I prefer cats to dogs.

The other night I was watching a TV program about cats, and it was so relaxing. The narrator was speaking in a very calm tone, and as I was watching I felt that cats are so relaxing. They are independant, peaceful, and once they get old enough you can usually leave them home alone all day. A vicious cat is more likely to stay away from strangers or unfamiliar visitors, whereas a vicious dog is more likely to bite.

Dogs are more chaotic and intrusive. They'll come running up to you even if you don't want it to, and they often think they're people. Most dogs bark loudly, and go crazy when someone knocks at the door or the mail arrives. Dogs poop in the middle of pavements, whereas most cats are more clean and private. You have to make sure your garden is safe and secure when you have a dog, and some dogs howl if they're left alone for too long.

I prefer bigger dogs like Huskies, Alsations and Labradors because they are more intelligent and can be tamed and trained to be cleaner and well-behaved. I don't like dogs that are too hyperactive, barky or yappy, or likely to growl at you.

I'm a cat person because I've always lived in a condo/apartment and wasn't allowed to have a dog. At my new place I'm allowed to have a dog though, so I'm considering it. Then I'll know whether I'm actually a cat or dog person.
