IKEA and their good pricing policy on milkshakes

I was at IKEA the other day and we came to the "sweeties" department at the end. There was a sign, "Milkshakes £1". So I had a vanilla one. To my delight, it was very nice, cost £1.50 less than in the cafe in my hometown, which is part of a big-name chain, and lasted longer as well.

Plus we got some nice furniture.

I enjoy the food they do in there as well. Last time I went there I just went for some breakfast and got no furniture! But its pretty local to me. Last piece of furniture I got from there was one of those expedit shelving units. Got it in white for £20, rather that than £35 for the same thing in a wood finish.

Milkshakes at IKEA? I didn't know that. May be it's just on your country though......

IKEA used to sell boxes of huge french fries for $2 each in Canada 6 or 7 years ago. Prices have probably gone up a lot since then.

Their food is good. Their furniture is junk.

I like their meatballs.

...I recall Old Navy , on Mid-Market in San Francisco , having a rather nice " old-style ' solid ' diner/cafe-type mid-Twentieth style resturaunt " ~ and then they got rid of it .

The plural could mean he's talking about necrobumpers in general. So you are probably not one of the "necrobumpers" there.

The topic is not totally irrelevant any way. It's about IKEA's pricing policy.

I haven't been there for years but when I was there last time, food there was quite cheap. According to my sister Swedish people consider IKEA products second-class. I hate having to assemble furniture myself. The sofa bed I bought from them was flimsy. I guess cheap things are cheap after all.

They also sell cans of beer (tall boys), at least they did last time I was there.
