I've always never really liked taking showers when I get up. It's like, I'm hyper sensation to the water. does this apply with you too?

I am the same. I don't mind - and I even like - taking shower in the evening but I HATE morning showers. I get really unpleasant sensation then, its almost like the water was... dry.

For me it's like getting violently awoken. I surely don't like that.

I also don't want to waste my precious morning time for an unimportant thing like having a shower. Having a shower before going out (getting sweaty) is pointless.

I used to love it, but my executive functioning has become so much worse due to some massive stress factors in recent years, that I now can't even fit it into my morning routine to get ready to get out to work. I have to shower at other times now as it seems to now make me late for work. :(

I absolutely HATE anything to do with water, in the morning----I don't wanna see it, taste it, feel it (ESPECIALLY), hear it----it's all I can do, to make my coffee, in the morning. I'm a "morning person", so it's NOT that----I can eat breakfast, watch TV----ANYTHING, but what has to do with water!!

I'm a procrastinator, I'll get busy or distracted for a while but I pretty much need to shower to leave the house as my hair gets pretty gross. I actually enjoy the shower tho, it is a great place to think and I can find myself in there far too long just lost in thought.

I am very slobby individual :( Sensitivity to temperature of water and my slowness (which appears to be "enhanced" by getting paroxetine (psychotropic drug)) are additional problems in it. I do not get showers at mornings. I bathe myself really rare. I do generally not take showers. Water really easily becomes too hot or too cold. If the temperature would be stable and adequate, it could be pleasant. I may be smelly :( But I have not so much contacts with society. I would name my family as somewhat pathological (especially parents). They are poor in learning. They became vulgar and aggressive really easily. I have really low amount of social contact. My social drive appears to be quite significantly restricted. I have not many of sensory issues common for other Aspies, but those which "make" problems with being clean may be highly problematic. I do not like even washing my mouth so much (maybe because of the temperature of the water which easily become "unpleasant"). I also dislike hairdressing and haircutting. I notice that I am (myself) quite indifferent to being clean, having adequate clothing, hairdo etc. I have also diagnoses of mixed OCD and schizotypal disorder, I suppose that I have something named as "sluggish cognitive tempo". Even such an "easy" tasks like washing my body are quite problematic for me.

Yes, since it's cold in the morning. Unless I have an appointment early on, I rather wait until it's warm outside so I don't have to be freezing when I walk home.

No I don't have that issue but I usually take showers at night sense I may be busy in the morning.

I'm not a morning person, so I wake up as late as possible to be able to roll into my clothes and make it to work, and shower when I get home. I also work in an unventilated kitchen with deep fryers and a smoker, so showering in the morning would be pretty pointless.

I shower morning AND evening. I can't stand the feeling of myself otherwise.

I don't shower in the morning, but before I have my tea. I'm always a little reluctant to have my shower, but when I'm actually in the shower, I love it, and I don't want to come out. And I always feel as fresh as a daisy afterwards. :flower:

I very seldom shower in the morning because I'm usually clinically dead until noon, at least.

Yes, I just woke up so taking a shower right after it will traumatize me since I would be sleepy, water annoys me especially in the morning :x .
