The rules of this game are simple: just describe your ideal family.

To use some Gratuitous Tropese, my ideal dad would be a Standard Fifties Father, and my ideal mom would be a Yamato Nadeshiko.

I used to live with my ideal family (my aunt's family).

Now I live with my parents, who refuse to speak with my aunt and are at odds with that part of the family. I never see them anymore.

My brother would live close to me or my parents and visit us more often, instead of being way out in New Brunswick where it takes about 8 hours to drive here. He probably won't be coming home this summer because he's looking for a new job. The company he used to work for closed down, such as is the times.

I never had a close relationship with my parents or anyone in my family & I'm OK with that. My ideal family is basically just being with my girlfriend

My ideal family? A husband who works, me as a stay at home mama and two little girls to pour my love into. Not going to happen but a girl can dream. Most likely I'll be a single mother through artificial insemination and have to work instead of raising my babies.

My ideal family is a postmodern family where autism and gender variants are accepted. It's a family where whoever wants to work, works. It's also a family where people who are different are allowed to be themselves. There are no gender roles in my ideal family.
