what has happened to this place?

This place used to be a safe comfortable haven. It used to be kid friendly. But quicklyall the kids were wither scared off or banned. This forum has become really creepy, full of adult discussions, power hungry webmasters, and disturbing avatars. I'm very disappointed. dow anyone else agree?

IMO it's better now than it was a year ago.

But you two joined in 2006 and 2007. I joined in 2004. It's much, much different.

Well, having less members and not being well known was an advantage for WP in it's infancy. Why? Well at that time, it wasn't advertised (or more appropriately, mentioned at the end) on shows like Dr. Phil yet. Using that show as a nice example, mentioning WP on a show where it deals with teenagers with problems, it doesn't seem too far-fetched that a pervy dude would watch that. It may be just me, but oh well.

When I joined WP last September, it was great for me, but as the community grew (a LOT, it was at like, 6,000 when I first joined) more people came along, and the more people there are, the higher the chance you get some disturbed people around. I wish I would have found WP when it was made, although due to timing I probably would not have met Sophie in that way and would not have fallen in love with her, so I'm glad my timing was the way it was (Sophie joined exactly a week after I did).

Forums are always nice and cosy when they start up and it is often true that once they start to grow, you get a few members that push the limits of decency or some other thing. Its just how it always goes.

I am new here and just relieved to find somewhere with people like me and I think this place has lots of good things going on

I don't know how WP was before I was here, but I think this forum is cosy.

I haven't noticed a change.

I've always liked this site. But seeing that I joined on January 27 of 2007, there is nothing I can base my jugement on wether the site was better then or better now.

In my opinion it's a lot worse than it was two years ago. I used to enjoy posting here more, the poeple were nice, you would have no reason to get mad.

Now it's full of spammers, trolls and people that don't know how to run a site.

It's still the same forum to me.

The mods have been doing a good job. That is, things would be worse now if there were no mods, as it was in the past.
