I go out walking & I see shoes on the sidewalk, on fences, hanging over wires & other such odd places. Why do people do that

Probably to air them out or dry em. I always put mine in an odd place so I don't forget where they are

They stay there for months thou & some of the places they have to throw them to reach like on tellephone wires.
