I do not currently have thick rimmed glasses, but I would like them when I next upgrade my prescription. I always felt that I would be better off with them for an unusual reason, but never considered it. It's a personal preference.

For glasses-people, what kind of rims do you prefer?

I wore glasses for years. All the rims were thick because the glass was so thick. Even the rimless glasses I had still looked bad because the glass was still thick. I wear contacts now.

Safety glasses have to be thick.

I have three pairs. Two are extra-light thick-rimmed glasses. The other is rather thinner-rimmed but not very thin. I didn't think too much about the thickness of the rim when buying them. I just looked around and picked ones that looked good.

I prefer thin rims. My current glasses have copper-coloured thin rims.
