Do you feel proud that u get daily responces on your posts?
I know in the "random discussion" forum there are a lot of posts such as "What time is it right now" or "What are you drinking now" or "pick a random number between 0-9 and post it" and they gets lots of answers on a daily basis. These posts probably total in the several thousands in total responces and the numbers only grow as each thread constantly gets bumped up to the top of the forum each time another person answers these exciting thread topics on a daily basis. For the creators of these threads, does the constant activity on your threads make you feel special or proud? The reason why I'm asking this is because I know when people post something interesting on the web and it gets a lot of hits, I know it's common for these people to feel proud or special for posting something interesting. If you do, I think that's great and yiu should feel proud. However, I'm sure you probably have some other special skills, interests, or talents too such as programming, art, or understanding a certain science that will hopefully get recognized too.

Whenever I make posts on my facebook or other "social" places online and I get responses/likes/comments/etc., then I feel somewhat fulfilled because I've obviously said something interesting enough to elicit a response. This fulfillment usually lasts a few minutes before I go back to feeling alone.
As for the specific part of your post, I don't understand what I consider to be spam threads. There's no social interaction to be had in posting a favourite number or some such nonsense. There used to be a thread on here a few years ago where you would post real life pictures and another thread where you would give a silly reason why you wouldn't date the person above you... those were fairly entertaining and involved basic human interaction - not just ''I like green.'' or ''34!'' or ''blahblahblah''.
Overall, however, I'm sure there is some psychological gain from being the OP of a popular thread, no matter the quality of said thread.
