hi, i'm just a little worried about my health.

I just had a few slices of pizza and some chicken wings and i'm feeling a little bizarre. Here's the symptoms:

- chest hearts a little (this is gone now, but comes back a bit here and there)
- shortness of breath (this comes and goes, it goes away when i yawn)
- I feel a little tired
- discomfort at the back of the neck
- A small bit of discomfort around my jaw (also gone now)

Am I having a heart attack, heart burn or hypochondria? I'm always worried about my health for no reason, but these are a few signs of heart attack. My arms feel fine, so does my back, i'm not sweating, i'm not nauseous at all and i don't have any other symptoms, but i'm really worried. It my be hypochondria becuase when i got the chest pains i looked up Myocardial infarction on Wikipedia. Can anyone help me?

according to Web MD
symptoms of heart attack:
* Discomfort, pressure, heaviness, or pain in the chest, arm or below the breastbone
* Discomfort radiating to the back, jaw, throat or arm
* Fullness, indigestion or choking feeling (may feel like heartburn)
* Sweating, nausea, vomiting or dizziness
* Extreme weakness, anxiety or shortness of breath
* Rapid or irregular heartbeats

doc, either way go to your physician and have yourself checked if this is constant.

Also, id suggest you insist on a blood test to check on your lipids (cholesterol/triglycerides).

chest pains are gone as is breathlessness, but now I feel very tired and have a pain in my right shoulderblade that seems to feel like it's at a single point

It could very likely be anxiety. I think alot of Aspies have it, at least at some point. I sometimes get really dizzy and disorientated, and of course that can affect your heart rate and stuff. Of course diet plays a big factor. Eating a lot of food in a short amount of time, eating unhealthy foods, too much salt, too much caffeine... all those things.

oh thank god. That's what my dad's been saying. I am a vegetarian (I eat poultry, fish, eggs and dairy), but I do drink alot of Caffeine to keep me awake for homework. But i'm NEVER tired at 10:00 at night. ever.
This is especially weird because everything's gone now. I'm back to my usual insomniac self. Sigh, i can never catch a break can I?

called my doctor (he's an old family friend) and he said it was just heartburn coupled with anxiety. He says I should drink some water and chew 2-3 aspirin and it should go away which it did.

Lack of iron.

That explains the chest pain, the tiredness and the breathlessness. I had a bad case of it last night. You need to buy an iron supplement.

check your pm doc.

Anything you suspect of being heart related get checked asap. A phone call is not the same as a checkup.

I just got back from the ER (at 2:52 AM in the morning, my girlfriend drove me because she didn't want me to drive). Nothing was actually wrong with me, the doctor said it was heart burn mixed with anxiety. I had a blood test and my cholesterol was normal and all that. I was prescribed Vitamin B12. The doctor who checked on me said it was nothing big, but I did the right thing by coming in. Phew.

Becuase of this, I went tonight without sex, but it's worth it to know that i'm not in danger of dying RIGHT NOW (the B12 was perscribed for my low iron levels, whoever mentioned that, good call).

Also I'm apparently allergic to bell pepper (cause of another unrelated problem i had earlier in the week). 18 years and NOW they tell me this.

Shortness of breath and heart attacks are HUGELY related. It really annoys me when people post potentially damaging misinformation in public forums.

But as for what is being described, it sounds more like upper digestive issues. Heartburn, specifically GERD, can mimic some heart symptoms. Pizza and wings would be big culprits in initiating this process. Keep Gaviscon or Mylanta on hand.

That's why after this i've eliminated poultry from my diet (leaving fish, dairy and eggs as the only meat or meat produced foods I eat).
