Yes, when I was a kid. My brother and I used to horseplay on them and really mess them up, and then the darn things would collapse, sometimes in the middle of the night. Should of had some that were made out of iron.

Whenever I slept in a bunk bed in my life, if I was on the top, I couldn't sleep, I would be paralyzed by fear that I would roll off the bed in my sleep.

No, but I always wanted to.

The only time when I "slept" in some kind of bunk bed was in a sleep train. I didn't sleep much - I was staring out of the train window the whole way, excited of how unusual the angle of view is.

Oh, and I also slept on a bunk bed at a school trip when I was 18 but I was at the bottom of it (some other girls from my class wanted to be on top and I was not assertive enough and to be honest I didn't want them to see my panties when I climb the ladder - I was sleeping in a nightshirt) so it doesn't count.

I'm an only child and yet somehow I did have a bunk bed for the earlier years of my life...not exactly sure of the reason why.

I always slept on the top. Never felt comfortable sleeping on the bottom and I'm not entirely sure why.

When I was younger, my sister and I had to share one on vacation..

Needless to say, she ended up getting the top bunk because I was too scared to climb the ladder.

I had a high bed for a few years when I was a child and teenager. It was one of those beds where you have to climb a ladder to get on to it, but does not have a bed underneath, just open space for furniture, which was handy because it made more space in my room. But I got rid of it when I was 16 because I was moving into my older half-sister's bedroom (she was moving out), and this room was bigger and I decided I wanted a low bed.

I slept in a bunk bed a few times. Once on a school trip when we were basically forced to stay at this place to get to know each other and I felt lonely and homesick the whole time.

You wouldn't really fall out (and actually hurt yourself) unless you're drunk or something. I was always afraid that might happen but it's not really likely.

Yes, my older brother and I slept in them until we were in our early teens and moved to a bigger house where we each had our own rooms. It's hard to believe I actually shared a bedroom at all for that long!

I normally slept on the bottom because I was too afraid to climb onto the top until I was maybe 9 or 10 years old. During the day I liked to pull the blanket on the top over the side to make a kind of curtain where I could play alone with my plushies and have some privacy. Those were some good times :)
