when I was a hospital patient, I was thankful for my safety rail :) as it likely saved my tossing and turning self from falling down onto the floor and likely breaking yet more bones.

Until I was about 24... Either that or I slept on the floor.
Thankfully since getting married and sleeping in an unguarded bed, I've not fallen too many times...
