where would i put my clutter? and forget about listening to high-quality audio in such a tiny space. the acoustics would be beastly. like listening to music in a telephone booth. but i like the concept of high-efficiency space utilization, if i would need at least 12 ft. by 12 ft for the music room. i really like the idea of mobile teeny houses.

I did a little digging. This one is 302 sq ft. I could do it if I lived alone. I couldn't do it if I lived with anyone else. I need a separate room to be by myself in often. I would end up having meltdowns if I wasn't able to be by myself.

My sister-in-law lived in what could be described as a micro apartment. It was around 300 square feet. It consisted of 3 rooms. One room was a bathroom/utility room with washer/dryer. Another room was the kitchen. The third room served multiple functions. It was a bedroom, family room, dining room, entertainment room. Her family included her husband and three children. They lived this way out of necessity. It may appear as romantic but from my perception it was extremely cramped.

I voted for No. I get how they could be good for people who live by themselves but I highly doubt they'd be good for most Aspies who are living with others. The Aspie will have no where to go to have their own space & alone time. The Aspie & the people the Aspie is living with would have nowhere to go when one of them gets upset with the other which would lead to more heated arguments. I never had a lot of stuff but I also HATED sleeping alone & HATED the idea of living alone so micro appartments would not work well for me. Aslo my girlfriend has a lot of stuff.

No, last apartment I lived in was practically a micro apartment. It wasn't so bad at first, but it wasn't great either then some neighbors from hell moved in and it was miserable till we were able to move out. Basically they had a bratty teenager and some younger kids that refused to respect me and my boyfriends space...they'd hang out right outside the sliding glass door we had to go out back sometimes smashing into it, the teen would listen to very loud music on her phone right outside our apartment. And we are pretty sure the teenager smashed my boyfriends car window as well because we wouldn't give her cigarettes.

But even if all that hadn't occurred I still don't think I would have wanted to stay there much longer, felt like a cramped space and plus me and my boyfriend have quite a lot of stuff so, its nice to have more room.

If it was just me, I could live in something like this, although with a curtain or Japanese screen at the foot of the bed:

I could live in one just fine, if I were alone. That being said, it wouldn't be my preference because I like having enough space for a dog.

I have never seen one before so I don't really have an idea of just how small it would be, but I like small spaces, I expect it would be great for me if I didn't have a large dog who needs space to play. I feel more comfortable with walls close to me, I love corners. Kind of the opposite of claustrophobia - claustrophilia?

Our old apartment wasn't micro but it was galley style(not sure about the term) & it was long & skinny. We had neighbors on both sides of us & both the long walls were connected to neighbors. The neighbors on one side listened to loud TV & music alot & it got to the point where we were afraid to be downstairs during the daytime cuz the base would give us headaches. That's a major reason as to why we moved & why we moved here. We had gotten a new property manager at our old place who talked to the neighbors about their base & they did turn it down but we could still hear it some. My girlfriend was in a rush to leave the place cuz she hated living in fear that she'd suddenly hear loud base that would give her a headache if she made a bit of noise in our living-room. The neighbors on the other side of us said we were pretty quiet but if we made noise downstairs like getting ready to leave or coming back from somewhere, the loud base would start. It's like our inconsiderate neighbors were trying to drown out all noise from us but it was impossible for us to drown out their base. They told the property manger that their stuff was loud cuz the neighbors on the other side of them made a lot of noise & our property manager said it'll be more difficult to enforce the noise rule cuz of that. They should NOT have the right to drown out all noise regardless of how noisy their neighbors are. We accepted this place cuz it's on the top floor & only one bedroom & the bathroom are connected to the apartment on side of us. We're using the other bedroom as our main bedroom so we don't have to worry about disturbing out neighbors & worry about them disturbing us.

I would be fine with one. All I need/want is a bed, chair, desk a mini frige, microwave and essentials. Like I have now and will have in the room of the care home I will move into.

As to living alone, definitely.

I'd go minimal on items and with nobody meddling. I can only imagine having even that much space entirely for myself.

300 sq ft's a bit huge all by myself. I've lived a good portion of my life living in a space smaller than that with the whole household in it... My old house; a room with two beds in it, a dining room (nonexistent living room), then a thin kitchen like hall nearby a small toilet room.

To live alone, where I can truly afford 'order' in ways I want it to evolve, where I can truly trust no one's going to touch anything I'd place or fixed. No more taking account of others so I'd throw, keep and change things as I desire and no regrets...
I seriously want a space for myself.

I'd the kind who less than often bother with the neighbors noise and other crap -- just as long as no one else goes inside and/or mess around near the doorway... Or go crazy that involves borderline vandalism and arson.

If I could live alone in one, great, I don't collect much stuff.
With a family, nope.
