What perfect things have you found to your liking and then never found again?

Mine are:-

I love real Ale,s, none of them tasted completely perfect until I found a pack of Ushers Four Seasons, it was the most perfect beer I ever tasted.
I never found it again and now I read that the brewery were taken over!, and the brewery that took them over was taken over!

I eat a lot of Pizzas because they are easy, most are barely edible,but for a few years Tesco did the loveliest pizza imaginable on an olive oil bread base, I used to eat them most days, then one day they were no longer on the shelves, Boboli Pizza's, looking at their website, seems they only sell their bases now, maybe I will have to start making my own.

I hardly eat good things like beetroot, then one day I found a jar of baby beetroot cooked in honey, they were so delicious that I went back for more.
When I got back to the same Tesco's the lady denied they ever sold such a product and I haven't seen one since!

Of the thousands of motorcycles I have ridden, the best all round was the Triumph Tr5t Adventurer, I had two, so light I could roll one off the ground onto my knee, great for off road riding, yet with a 500cc twin engine, it could still cruise at 80mph, a beautiful machine that I want another one of!

Cheeseburgers.

An ordinary ground beef patty, fried with a little salt and pepper, with a slice of Velveeta partially melted on top, and served on a lightly-toasted 'burger roll.

No fillers, no pink slime, no garlic, no special sauce ... Just a plain, ordinary cheeseburger that actually tastes good!

Well, uhm.....my favorite bra!!

It was a Target brand and of a particular style and fit that I found to be THE perfect bra for my particular body. They were just GREAT bras. They weren't expensive, just plain old Gilligan & O'Malley for Target, but something about the way this bra was made was ideal for my liking. I hate to go without a bra because I actually get distracting sensory problems from not wearing one rather than most women who get problems from wearing one. But I'm very fussy about the cut, sizing, shape and feel of a bra for it to be comfortable.

Well, I only bought three and then discovered they stopped having that line, and I couldn't get more. In recent years I managed to find some, brand new-with-tags on e-bay, so I bought them whenever they showed up. But I don't even see them on e-bay anymore as I guess all stock remainders wholesale sellers snapped up to re-sell are all gone now. I have searched high and low for anything even slightly similar, but nothing out there is as good as these are.

As for other items -- my local supermarket has stopped stocking so many products that I had as my favorites, and can't easily find in other stores, that I actually made a complaint to them. One thing they stopped was the only type of coffee filter that fit my machine, and they'd been the only store in the entire area that had them. I then got them online but for a higher price.

I can't even tell you how many times this has happened to me with my local store, and hadn't happened before with other places where I used to live. This one store is notorious for pulling lines of product. Their reply to me was "We want to always provide our customers with new and exciting ranges!"

Meaning that lots of people get the rug pulled from under their feet over and over again, just when they had settled on a favorite soap, or the only coffee machine filter they can use, type of cereal, etc etc etc. I don't want to ever play the autism card but sometimes I've longed to tell them "Do you know what this constant change of your product lines might be doing to your autistic customers or people who have similar desires to stick with a certain product they used to get only at your store?"

I realize this is all "sweating the small stuff" and not that important, but it has bugged the heck out of me and adds frustration.

local coffee shop made a coffee called witches brew, have not been able to replicate

dorell cheese, which was basically the same formula as laughing cow cheese but in an oh-so-convenient and satisfyingly abundant TUB.

-certain flavors of ice cream
-a touch-screen mobile phone with a full physical qwerty keyboard that slides in and out
-lemon cookies produced by a certain company
-yellow grapefruits have completely disappeared from major supermarkets in my area
-a certain foamy body wash

I have a habit of worrying about my favorite products getting discontinued and buying ridiculously many of them. For example, I have about 40 bottles of my favorite foamy hand soap (and am thinking to buy more). I still have some refill bags of above foamy body wash. I'm so glad that I bought many when they were available. Obviously I cannot do that with food.

Tesco is the place where I'm having all my "products pulled" experiences too!

Tesco in particular seems to be really bad with this -- they just stop stocking things and replace them with different product lines constantly. And if they were the only place for miles that actually had that brand/flavour/option you're stuck with all these changes to what you buy.

Mercury Dry cider.

That vanilla yoghurt that Oak Dairy made.

Dr Pepper Bottled under licence in Australia instead of the imported cans you can get sporadically nowadays.

plenty of things that i liked the most have disappeared.

we have a flavoured milk company called "OAK", and they used to have a caramel flavoured milk that was delicious. it disappeared about 12 years ago. they have a new caramel flavoured milk,but it is thick and gooey and gets gooeyer if you shake it. i do not like gluggy drinks.

nanna's apple rolls. they were like sausage rolls but with apple filling and had the most delicate puff pastry that i sprinkled with icing sugar after i cooked them.

planters bombay curry potato chips (crisps). delightful but obviously not popular.

mccain pizza singles. they were the size of a teacup saucer and had a nice crunchy crust.

arnott's golden puffs. they were a plain puff pastry biscuit.

pascal fruit bon bons. they were shaped like a miniature brick and they were individually wrapped and has a hard exterior and a soft interior and were very authentic in their fruity taste.

fruit tingles now do not have the flesh coloured ones. they are now pink and taste different.

tang. it was a fizzy orange powder that one adds to water and was remarkably refreshing and zesty.

jupiter bars. they were a plain caramel and rice bubble mix pressed into a bar.

pub squash. it was a competitor to solo lemon squash and was much superior.

that is all for now.

this spice company made a blend called dijon tarragon - great for fish, salad dressing, dip, sauce etc etc, - bought as many as I could when I found out they were discontinuing it.

Ivory shampoo - I was brought up with it and ivory soap- so the scent was tolerable

there is a brand of pasta sauce - classico- they used to also make salad dressings- many were good as dressings as well as marinades

I can definitely relate to this, especially when it comes to clothing. I recently began hoarding these Old Navy hoodies with the fabric weight of a t-shirt, just in case if they're suddenly discontinued.

I enjoy building movie props and the hobby can be just as much about scavenging as it is about crafting. Many resources are discontinued/relatively scarce. I've been playing around with a display based on the first Alien film and found the perfect base for the "motion detector" prop on eBay, a particular model of portable TV from the 70's.



Anyway, I lost the auction for something low like $5.00 and it's been gnawing at me ever since, especially since I haven't managed to find another.
