You ever get scared by little sounds when the rest of the room is silent because of how loudly they sound to you?

Several times I have poured myself a bowl of rice crispies late at night and I forget about it for a second. Then when I'm in silence I hear the noise like something is moving and it scares the poo out of me. Then I realize it's just my cereal.

Last night I was staying over my parent's house and at around midnight I decided to get a snack of bagged popcorn. My parents had both gone to bed, and when I was putting the popcorn in a bowl my dad suddenly pops up from behind me and says to remember to turn the lights off when I go back downstairs. I kind of freaked and yelped a little, which freaked him out a little but then we both had a chuckle over it.

When I started playing The Simpsons Tapped on my tablet I had to turn the notifications off because one time I heard Homer's voice say "Mmmm, crops!" and making his signature gurgling sound, which is normally funny but late at night when it's quiet it's more like out of a horror movie.

But scared of the sound of my own cereal? I don't think I ever have been. :)

Cereal killers? Lol!

Snap, crackle, and pop?

Scary?

Can't say that I have ever noticed that.

But I do admit that hearing footsteps above your head at night in an apartment is scary when you're used to living by yourself in a house. Takes getting used to.

Little noises do make me freak out a little, but since I don't eat cereal at night I've never had that experience.

I don't usually get scared by little noises, but I notice them, I definitely notice them! :P
Apparently everybody else in the house says I have "supersonic hearing" ... I hear EVERYTHING .. okay, not everything, but still....

When I do get scared .. ugh! I swear my heart stops beating properly ... my chest will get a weird feeling to it, which subsides after a few minutes.

I'm glad for these moments. Gives me something to laugh at.

Ever seen that old B&W commercial for Rice Krinkles? It's basically sugar frosted Rice Krispies, and it is not for people who are afraid of clowns. I learned last night that Krinkles the clown was actually the more PC replacement for the cereal's more controversial mascot, a stereotypical cartoon Chinese boy. I'm sure he never gave any kids nightmares, though.
