"In a hotly contested deal, the life story of Dewey, a rescued cat who lived for 19 years in a library in a small town in Iowa, has sold for about $1.25 million to Grand Central Publishing."
In the NYT. As I lived with a rescued cat for 21 years, and my house has always been a kind of library, does somebody think that I might write the biography of my cat?

Cats can have very interesting lives, especially a rescued cat. There are loads of exciting things my Flo has done, and she rarely leaves the house. A cat living in a library would have lots to write about.

Paolo,

I would definitely read it! I just completed a book about my cat, Samantha, who lived to be 20. She was a Lynx point Siamese. What breed was your cat?

I'm going to write a book about my dog. I might also write one about my mum's childhood dog/other pets. I also want to write about my mum's family.

My cat was black (breed?) picked up in the square where I lived. It's better to say that she picked me up climbing on my shoulders and not leaving while I did some business. I was looking for a telephone to call the firefighters as a car was on fire. She had kittens twice and was a very good mother. I would like to post her photo here but I don't know how to do it.

She was a marvelous creature. One or her most striking qualities was her courage. She wouldn't be intimidated by any other living being, but she was very sweet. I will stop talking about her now lest I start crying.
