A few days ago, my heating pad settings switched values----when set on "medium", HOT heat came-out; when set on "hot", MEDIUM heat came-out. Then, a couple of days ago, the values switched BACK, to what they're SUPPOSE to be; now, today, they've switched to "wrong", again. Other than "time to get a new heating pad", anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Sounds like a short in the wiring or maybe a bad circuit board. You could take it apart and see if you are technologically inclined.
