Given that Spinosaurus was even bigger and meaner than T-Rex, and Velociraptor was about the size of a chicken (yes, Jurassic Park lied :P), you'd need a horde of the things to even irritate it.

Ah, so THAT was the flaw you mentioned! Perhaps it was that all-so-convenient variation from China... :P young Deinonychus' perhaps?

Could have even been a Utahraptor - which is about the same size as the erroneous Jurassic Park Velociraptor - although whether it was a pack hunter (as Velociraptor most likely was) is uncertain.

Another inaccuracy is that Velociraptor most likely had feathers, or an approximation thereof (more primitive dinosaurs in the same genus as Velociraptor have been discovered with feather imprints in the rock around them, so it's more than likely that Velociraptor had them as well).

Man, I'm such a dino-nerd...

I have no idea. Somebody call Vince McMahon and have him arrange this match immediately!

Utahraptor? I didn't know there were Mormon dinosaurs.

It never would have happened. The two lived in completely different geographic regions. And the Velociraptor was bigger than a chicken, but not by much. They were about the size of a wolf or German Shepard.

Post-wise, a Phoenix would kick both their asses.

Given that neither of them could probably type, that's a no-brainer ;)

They are - Velociraptor is another small dinosaur (there are actually quite a few that are pretty ickle - not all dinosaurs were hulking great monsters).

Most were no bigger than a cow, but those aren't the ones we want to see on display. Interestingly enough, has anyone noticed that predatory dinos are more commonly found?

Ah, but WHAT IF? is the key thing here.

Also, I think the feathers idea was either found AFTER the movie was made or because it'd make them look less threatening and more silly (but it makes them more compatible with Kid's TV shows!)
