I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but oh well. I was on WP most of this weekend when I wasn't busy procrastinating on my homework. Well because I had some homework due tomorrow I had to finally go out and get it finished. So I went to the library and finished my homework, it was hard, and I was tired. So then I started to head back to the dorm. It was pretty late at this point, about 1:30 AM. I was going to go in the back way and when I approached the door I was in for a big surprise. There was a coyote sleeping by the door and we both surprised each other. I dropped my stuff and he made a noise and took off running. I'd never seen a coyote quite like him either, and I've never seen one that close up. His fur was very dark with white patches. Something about it just freaked me out. Is this an omen, and if it is, is it good or bad?

I'd take it as a good one. But then again, not everyone sees basic things the way that I do.

That's not very reassuring. At least I don't live in Navajo territory. :D

C'mon now, you live in Texas USA, and you've never seen a coyote close up? I thought they were numerous ???

I never said I hadn't seen one up close. I said I'd never seen one that close. I was within about two feet of him.

Coyotes are numerous but very skittish and nocturnal, you don't see them all the time, especially in a city. Every once in a while I see one when driving around late at night.

Yotes are good. I had a part yote doggie. She was intelligent and wonderful.

The coyote I'd god's dog. They are the trickster!

I would not have started, but would have been in awe. Actually there are many near my dommie and they listen to me.No really.

I see it as exceptionally good.
