Two baby boys. One is black with rosettes, the other is chocolate gray with a white crest, shorthair, very silky.

They are happy to be together. One is two weeks older than the other.

I am using fleece for their bedding. They have Timothy hay, apples, chew stick, chew antler, dandelion greens, and carrots now.

Our cats are enthralled. The cage is covered with a blanket right now so the piggles can acclimate to the new noises in our house without being terribly exposed.

We got them from someone who "breeds" them.

I have a guinea pig myself. I wouldn't give em apples too often cuz I read the acid can upset their stomachs. A small piece is fine every 1ce in a while thou. We gave mine/ours a bigger piece 1ce & he quit eating it after abit & didn't want it anymore. Get them some lettuce too. They love it & I read that a couple servings a day is good for them. I give mine lettuce after I'm up for awhile & give him a carrot when I'm getting ready for bed. I also read some don't like chew toys much but rather chew on their wooden houses. That's the case with my SweetPete.

My sister used to have a rat.

Surprisingly, it's name was "Rat".

It learned to recognize some words! For example, if you said the word "pistachio" it would get quite excited because it would then expect a treat.

I had Guinea Pigs when I was younger one male and one Female the one we thought was the Male had babies.
They were great pets to have we used to put the Hutch on the lawn and they used to eat the grass.
Sadly we had to give them away when we left Tasmania to come to Victoria.

Enjoy your Guinea Pigs.

I used to have guinea pigs when I was in my teens. I got one from my friends up the road and then I bought another one to keep it company. Turns out it was a pregnant female so my two guinea pigs soon turned into six :P. They were a handful to look after, feed and keep separated after that. I had to build a special 10x10 foot cage split into sections so females weren't in the same pen as males and males weren't in the same pen as each other (the scent of females made them fight).

I loooove Guinea pigs! I had five females at one point, they are such sweet pets. Watching them interact with each other with all their different personalities was very entertaining

I love guinea pigs, they are soooo adorable. But I don't own any right now because of my two cats. I used to have one before I got my cats but I gave him away. I was worried not just for his safety but didn't think I could afford to care for them all.

Well, I can always watch videos of them.

That's how I got my SweetePete. My chinchilla had recently died & I wasn't ready to get another one & would of just not had a rodent for awhile but my girlfriend's sister was trying to give SweetPete away. She had got a 2nd cat & couldn't really afford to keep SweetPete & couldn't keep up with his care. She's irrepressible & me & my girlfriend both felt sorry for SweetPete so we adopted him. Me girlfriend's cat isn't allowed upstairs & we let SweetPete run around downstairs sometimes & my girlfriend's cat doesn't have much interest in him. She's old & doesn't play much. My girlfriend's sister would let SweetPete out with the two cats & he was fine.
