Thought I'd ask do anyone watch gameshows on this website I don't know whether to be embarrassed by this. I admit I do watch some gameshows

My mum every night watches repeats of Family Fortunes from about 15 years ago on TV everynight Family Fortunes I'm led to believe is called Family Feud in other parts of the world except England where it is called Family Fortunes. I admit I do occasionally watch it with her.

But do people watch gameshows and if so which ones do you like.

I always watched game shows and still do. We have GSN on our digital cable and we watch that channel a lot.

I love game shows :) I watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune...that is all I get.
I like Lingo, but I don't have GSN anymore. I liked some of the old ones too,
like Concentration and the Price is Right, even though Bob Barker sort of got
on my nerves a bit.

I used to be somewhat obsessed with The Weakest Link, Blankety Blank and Countdown.
In fact, it is funny how things come back to me.
I used to watch a lot of game shows when I watched tv.

Jeopardy.

Back in the DOT.COM boom I would get my nails done every two weeks and it just seemed to be Jeopardy on the tube everytime I went there. I while with the asian manacurist I would say the answers under my breath and then the answer would be the same on the show. Over and over for months, and the first few months no one said anything, but then I started to notice other manacurists and hair dressers just hanging around while I was mumbling my answers to the TV. They wanted me to try out and actually got me tickets to the try out at the Mall of America (I was living in Minneapolis at the time)
I did go down there to audition, but didn't get through the try outs. . it was so crowded and so hot and so many people and loud and humid . . .and it was hours in line. . they wanted it for me more than I wanted it. . .

But I love Jeopardy.

Jeopardy use to be on in England it was on in the early 90s I do remember it being on then.

I watch some programmes on Challenge TV which is on digital TV in UK. It must be the british version of GSN. On weekdays they have the Best of British which is shown dueing daytime. They usually show two episodes of a programme this what it would for example they show gameshows from a certain era they showing alot from the 90s at the moment. I'll type who would be the presenter when they show them.
10.00-11.00 Catchphrase Roy Walker 1986-1999
11.00-12.00 Price is Right Bruce Forsyth 1995-2001
12.00-1.00 Family Fortunes Les Dennis 1987-2001
1.00-2.00 Supermarket Sweep Dale Winton 1994-2000 (The most irritating man on TV I don't watch for that reason)
After that I don't know
In the evening they do it again
7.00-8.00 Strike it Rich Michael Barrymore 1996-1999
8.00-9.00 Family Fortunes Les Dennis (I typed the year earlier)
9.00-10.00 Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Chris Tarrant 1998-Present

Weekends they do Triple episodes
Price is Right Bruce Forsyth
Celebrity Squares Bob Monkhouse
Strike It Rich
Bullseye Jim Bowen 1981-1993
Family Fortunes Les Dennis

That is what Challenge is like.

Yes, I do. I like to watch the Game Show Network. The old episodes of Match Game are my favorites.

I do not watch very much television any more, but when I was younger, I watched a lot of game shows. Some of my favourite game shows were Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Family Feud, The Price Is Right, The Match Game, The Hollywood Squares, Name That Tune, Press Your Luck, Password, Let's Make A Deal, Supermarket Sweep, The $100,000 Pyramid, Body Language, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. I know a lot about game shows, and they have always been fun for me to think about.

I had a lot of fun watching game shows growing up, and I always thought I would be a contestant on a game show, but most of the game shows I watched as a child have long since been cancelled. Today, I still like to watch clips of game shows on You Tube, and I like to read about game shows in books & online. Perhaps some day game shows will be more popular again & make a big come back.

I used to watch Jeopardy but I found it really stressed me out when the contestants didn't know the answer. But I still like reading about Jeopardy terminology and wagering strategies on http://www.j-archive.com.

Jeopardy!

It's really therapeutic and relaxing. For at least 30 minutes, I feel like society is working right together. And there's a rhythm or mild repetition on Jeopardy!, not sure if it's the contestants buzzing in after Alex reads the answer, or the categories. Or just the fact that everything is visually lined up perfectly and you learn something new.

sure beats other shows like picking and pointing at suitcases for an hour like an idiot

I watched the ones Nickelodeon had in the 90s like Nick Arcade & Double Dare but that was mostly cuz Nick wasn't showing anything better. I watched one ep of Hollywood Game Night recently but that was only because Miranda Cosgrove was on it; I have a huge crush & alittle obsession on her.
