It is my turn to make dinner for my family tomorrow night, and I was asked to NOT make the same thing I've made for the past three months. Apparently, they do not like repetition like I do! :) So, any suggestions? I usually make curry over rice, or spaghetti. We had grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and tomato soup last night, and the menu for the nights following mine consists of beef stew, hamburgers, and some kind of chicken casserole.

I usually just eat a bowl of cereal if I don't make dinner, so they're asking me to branch out and try something new. Any suggestions? Recipes? Easy to make is preferred as cooking is not something I enjoy doing.

I am a vegetarian (I don't eat any meat or seafood), but still cook meat meals for my family. I also work parttime.

The easiest meal I make for my meat lovers is a tuna past dish.

I buy cans of flavoured tuna (my familiy's favourite is tomato and onion).

I cook the pasta and stick the steamer over the top and steam the vegetables.

When the pasta a veges and all cooked I drain the pasta, then throw in the tuna, vegetables and pasta.

This is my 3 boys favourite meal and it is so quick and easy.

I pre-chop all my vegetables on shopping day. My 7 year old aspie will only eat broccoli, cauliflower and carrot. I chop them all up and throw them in a big tupperware container.

So then on work nights it's just a matter of grabbing a few handfuls of veges.

i am an absolute cooking newbie and managed to do some shish kebab that got me lots of kudos. recipes for that kind of stuff can be found anywhere on the web, or i can translate mine for you (only have it in german - pm me if you want it).
so, even i managed to pull it off, so you can do it, too. another plus of it is, that you do it the day before and let it rest in the fridge - when party time arrives, you put it on the grill and ready you are. middle eastern flavours also are unusual for most, but very tasty and very suitable for all kinds of people (not too hot, nothing too extreme... - just different)
