When I was considerably younger than today, I tried to contact president Reagan by phone. Link by link, I could reach her private secretary. (Old fashioned links, not like those in the Internet.) I asked the secretary, "Could you put me through to the president, please?" She asked me about my mission. When she learned I am from Finland, she politely said this phone call will cost me a fortune. I take it for granted that there was a US president at the time whose name was Reagan.

The same would happen if I tried to reach president Obama.
