A bumblebee buzzing by me as I worked on weeding the garden.

The sun feeling hot on my back.

My garden is a sea of blue ( bluebells, forget me nots, and rosemary) and yellow (euphorbia) and the lilacs are nearly opening and the peonies at my absolute favourite stage of unfolding.

I'm a New Yorker... Spring is about a half a month/ month late here. Tree in the back should be blossoming, but won't for another week.

First tornado warning of the year for us. One of the perks of living in Kansas
(The worst stuff was just south of us but we were included in the warning, so we got to spend a little time in the basement but are fine)

The Chimney Swifts are back -- that's a major sign of spring in my neighborhood.

what do they do?

Peonies are nearly out and there is a whole bright slope of bluebells at the back of my garden. Just been to feed my neighbour's chickens and came home with fresh eggs to make for lunch. Going to eat in the sunshine.
